A derivative of vitamin A commonly used in anti-aging products to promote skin cell turnover. Retinol reduces fine lines and wrinkles, reverse the sun damage, and remove dark spots by boosting blood flow to the skin in result of increased collagen production. Retinol first started appealing as an acne fighter for it increases cell turnover and decreases sebum production before it became known to be anti-aging effective.  Retinol is a type of retinoids which are known by different names. Retinol is the weakest form, so it's less irritating and gentle on the skin.
